Methodology
How we evaluate
A receptionist is judged by what happens after hello.
The workflow
Every review and industry guide walks the same seven steps. For each, we state what the product does according to its own documentation, what we verified, and what we could not.
- Answer. Every call, every hour, without a queue.
- Understand. What the caller actually needs, in their words.
- Capture. Name, number, address, job details, urgency.
- Qualify. Is this a job you want, in an area you serve, at a time you can do it?
- Schedule. Book against real availability, not a wish.
- Route. Transfer, dispatch or escalate the calls that need a person.
- Follow through. Summary, record, next step. Nothing falls on the floor.
Verification
Provider facts live in one shared database. Each field is verified (checked against a cited source on a recorded date), not independently verified (from the provider's public materials) or verification needed (no data entered). We show a price only when it is verified, and we flag any price check older than 30 days.
Industry pages
Trade pages are generated from structured content but must pass a publication check before they are allowed into search: a unique introduction, trade-specific call scenarios, buying criteria, an FAQ, reasoning for every recommendation and a minimum length. Pages that fail are visibly marked as drafts and served with noindex.
Scores
We do not publish numeric scores. Recorded call testing is done by our sister site AI Phone Test Lab, and we reference its results only when they are final.
Conflicts of interest
The publisher has a financial interest in Torklio. Torklio is featured as best for service-business workflow based on verified capabilities, and other providers are recommended where they fit better.
